Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for a Float Pool assignment in a high-volume Level I Trauma hospital in Atlanta GA.
This role primarily supports Emergency Department boarder patients including Med/Surg Step-Down and ICU-level patients awaiting inpatient placement. Candidates may also be required to float to acute care units based on hospital needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience within large Level I Trauma facilities and the ability to thrive in fast-paced high-acuity clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department and boarded patients
- Monitor and manage patients with varying acuity levels including:
- Medical/Surgical
- Step-Down
- ICU-level patients
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Respond quickly to clinical changes and emergency situations
- Administer medications IV therapies and emergency treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians emergency teams and interdisciplinary healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate charting and documentation within EMR systems
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety infection prevention and emergency care protocols
- Float to acute care units as needed based on staffing and patient care demands
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a similar-sized Level I Trauma facility required
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- TNCC Certification required
- Strong experience managing high-acuity and critically ill patients required
- Ability to work effectively in very busy emergency care environments
