What you will do:
Data Science is responsible for transforming data into advanced analytical and predictive insights that support decisionmaking across the organization. The Data Science function explores analyzes and models data using statistical methods machine learning techniques and analytical frameworks to uncover patterns trends risks and opportunities.
In Finance Data Science should be positioned as a strategic enabling function complementing Business Intelligence by going beyond descriptive analyticssupporting forecasting scenario analysis optimization and datadriven automation. This role works in close alignment with IT and Data Platforms to ensure scalable reliable and governed analytical solutions.
Additionally the Data Scientist supports the planning and execution of Data Analytics initiatives contributing to project scoping metrics definition experimentation documentation and delivery under Agile or hybrid project models.
What you will do:
Data exploration & analysis: Explore structured and semistructured data to understand business behavior identify patterns outliers and relationships and generate hypotheses.
Statistical & predictive modeling: Develop test and support statistical predictive or machine learning models (under guidance for junior levels) to support forecasting risk analysis and decisionmaking.
Data preparation & feature engineering: Prepare datasets through cleansing transformation and feature creation to ensure analytical reliability and usability.
Insights & storytelling: Translate analytical outputs into clear actionable insights explaining assumptions limitations and business implications to stakeholders.
Automation & advanced analytics enablement: Support automation and datadriven solutions by embedding analytics into business processes dashboards or Power Platform assets.
Model monitoring & continuous improvement: Assist in validating results monitoring model performance and improving analytical approaches over time.
Business partnership: Translate business questions into analytical problems and support the adoption of datadriven decisionmaking across Finance and related areas.
What you will have:
Analytical thinking & problemsolving: Applies structured analytical approaches statistical reasoning and curiosity to solve business problems.
Accuracy and attention to detail: Ensures data quality model consistency and reliability of analytical outputs.
Effective communication: Explains analytical results tradeoffs and limitations clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
Collaboration & stakeholder management: Works effectively with Finance IT and business teams aligning expectations and priorities.
Ownership accountability & adaptability: Takes responsibility for analytical deliverables manages competing priorities and adapts to evolving requirements.
Data gathering & Agile support: Supports backlog refinement by translating business problems into analytical tasks data requirements and experimentation plans.
Basic Requirements:
University degrer
English Intermediary
Knowledge in SQL Server (for querying data manipulation and complex joins)
Knowledge with Python for data analysis
Advanced Microsoft O365 (Power Platform - Power BI Apps Automate)
Top Candidates will also have:
Advanced Experience with Python for data analysis (e.g. pandas numpy matplotlib scikit-learn).
Advanced SQL (CTEs performance tuning complex joins).
Familiarity with:
Data modeling concepts
Statistics and basic machine learning techniques
ETL / data preparation processes
Exposure to Agile or project management methodologies (Scrum Kanban Lean Black Belt).
Experience working with large datasets or enterprise systems (ERP SAP is a plus).
Note: This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week.
