About the Role
The Partner Recruiting Senior Manager Talent Identification is a key member of Lathams Partner Recruiting & Integration team. This role will lead proactive lateral partner and counsel search efforts globally working closely with department leadership and colleagues across the Partner Recruiting and Research & Analysis teams. The Senior Manager will oversee and project manage the firms proactive search activity foster internal collaboration and drive the development and delivery of market maps and related research materials to support these initiatives.
This role will be located in ourNew Yorkoffice. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Providing insights to leadership on market trends competitor activity and strategic talent opportunities
- Monitoring prospective candidates emanating from talent pipelining and/or proactive search activity and shaping the process of data collation as it relates to their clients and practices driving data capture in relation to proactive searches market mapping talent pipelining and early-stage candidate discussions and ensuring information is synthesized into actionable intelligence for senior stakeholders
- Ensuring relevant members of Partner Recruiting are informed of the context behind search activity including the rationale for hiring and the details of specific candidates being pursued as well as acting as the liaison between the Partner Recruiting and Research & Analysis teams in relation to all aspects of the firms talent identification efforts
- Working in close collaboration with the Partner Recruiting team to advise stakeholders on the appropriate outreach strategy for target candidates and prospects leveraging recruiting expertise to inform engagement approach and positioning
- Ensuring that the details of any partner or counsel candidate(s) derived from a proactive search project are handed over efficiently to the applicable Recruiting Manager to lead the candidate through the firms active process and ensuring that other applicable teams are kept abreast of the implications of proactive search efforts
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive confidential privileged financial and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
Wed love to hear from you if you:
- Demonstrate broad knowledge of global partner and counsel recruiting markets
- Possess strong project management skills to lead and structure thinking and work with the ability to multitask and a track record of strong demonstrated leadership
- Display exceptional attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy and consistency across complex data materials and processes
And have:
- A bachelors degree or equivalent preferably a MBA JD or Masters Degree
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a management role
- A minimum of ten (10) years of partner or associate recruiting experience preferably
