Project Overview

The client is seeking a Senior Scientist to support bioanalytical and biomarker method development activities from discovery through development stages. This role focuses on evaluating and reducing risk in analytical methods for development compounds across multiple therapeutic modalities including small and large molecules.

The selected candidate will provide scientific leadership in bioanalytical (BA) and biomarker method development using tandem and high-resolution mass spectrometry. This individual will also contribute to exploratory and development programs support cross-functional study teams and provide expertise in advanced laboratory instrumentation and method optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and apply scientific techniques and analytical approaches to resolve complex bioanalytical and biomarker challenges.
  • Lead in-house bioanalytical and biomarker support for exploratory and development programs.
  • Perform method development troubleshooting sample analysis data interpretation and report preparation using tandem and high-resolution mass spectrometry.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for:
    • Sample cleanup techniques
    • Chromatography
    • Mass spectrometry instrumentation
    • Stability assessments
    • Method-related troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with bioanalytical CROs to resolve method-related issues and support knowledge transfer of client technologies.
  • Provide project updates to management through written reports presentations and verbal communication.
  • Participate in cross-functional study teams to address bioanalytical and biomarker-related challenges.
  • Support evaluation of advanced laboratory equipment and technologies.
  • Potentially serve as a BA or biomarker lead on study teams.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience requirements:

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Life Sciences with 6 years of academic and/or industry experience
    OR
  • Masters degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Life Sciences with 4 years of academic and/or industry experience
    OR
  • Ph.D. (or equivalent advanced degree) in Life Sciences
