Position Overview:
This firm is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 5 years of experience in HVAC and/or plumbing design to join their team. The right candidate brings solid consulting engineering experience strong technical fundamentals and a steady work history. PE licensure is preferred but not required what matters most is direct experience in the design of commercial and institutional mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed mechanical system design including system approach equipment selection and mechanical room layout
- Complete project drawings specifications calculations and equipment selection
- Produce 3D Revit models and/or 2D CAD drawings
- Coordinate and interface directly with clients and design teams
- Receive project assignments from Principals Associates or Project Managers and execute through completion
- Support construction administration as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 4-year engineering degree from an accredited institution
- 5 years of experience in HVAC and/or plumbing design preferably in a consulting engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of commercial and institutional building mechanical systems
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with mechanical national codes standards and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook Excel etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- PE license preferred; actively pursuing licensure is a plus
- Steady work history and direct consulting engineering experience required

- Base salary: $85000 $120000 depending on experience and licensure
