The Opportunity
Step into a pivotal role where innovation leadership and global collaboration meet. As R&D Engineering Team Lead you will build and guide a newly established R&D team in Alamo playing a key role in advancing bushing technologies that power reliable energy systems worldwide. This is a unique chance to shape the direction of local R&D while contributing to global product roadmaps working closely with colleagues across engineering manufacturing laboratories and Hitachi Research Centers.
You will balance people leadership and hands-on technical contribution creating an environment where curiosity safety and high performance thrive. From early-stage ideas through prototype manufacturing and testing your influence will ensure projects are delivered with quality speed and impact. If you enjoy enabling others to succeed challenging existing solutions and turning complex challenges into sustainable innovations this role offers meaningful responsibility and growth.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and inter-nal regulations procedures and guidelines.
How youll make an impact
- Build and lead a new R&D team in Alamo supporting global bushing R&D
- Guide R&D projects to successful delivery within scope budget and timeline
- Support and develop team members through coaching and performance management
- Provide technical guidance throughout project execution
- Collaborate with planning production and laboratory teams on prototype execution
- Monitor project costs and provide regular status and cost reports
- Foster innovation and contribution to product roadmaps
- Collaborate globally with R&D teams factories and engineering partners
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and interal regulations procedures and guidelines.
Your background
- Masters degree or higher in engineering or applied sciences
- More than 5 years of relevant work experience ideally in the energy sector
- Experience with project management and multi-year projects
- Strong leadership and people development capabilities
- Excellent communication coaching and conflict-resolution skills
- Fluency in English
