The Opportunity

Step into a pivotal role where innovation leadership and global collaboration meet. As R&D Engineering Team Lead you will build and guide a newly established R&D team in Alamo playing a key role in advancing bushing technologies that power reliable energy systems worldwide. This is a unique chance to shape the direction of local R&D while contributing to global product roadmaps working closely with colleagues across engineering manufacturing laboratories and Hitachi Research Centers.

You will balance people leadership and hands-on technical contribution creating an environment where curiosity safety and high performance thrive. From early-stage ideas through prototype manufacturing and testing your influence will ensure projects are delivered with quality speed and impact. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and inter-nal regulations procedures and guidelines.

How youll make an impact

• Build and lead a new R&D team in Alamo supporting global bushing R&D
• Guide R&D projects to successful delivery within scope budget and timeline
• Support and develop team members through coaching and performance management
• Provide technical guidance throughout project execution
• Collaborate with planning production and laboratory teams on prototype execution
• Monitor project costs and provide regular status and cost reports
• Foster innovation and contribution to product roadmaps
• Collaborate globally with R&D teams factories and engineering partners
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and interal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background

• Masters degree or higher in engineering or applied sciences
• More than 5 years of relevant work experience ideally in the energy sector
• Experience with project management and multi-year projects
• Strong leadership and people development capabilities
• Excellent communication coaching and conflict-resolution skills
• Fluency in English
