Another Sources client Harvey Mudd College is recruiting a Philanthropic Advisor to join their team in Claremont California.This is ahybridrole with travel up to two weeks per month.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a relationship-driven environment enjoys travel and autonomy and wants to be part of a collaborative advancement team during a pivotal campaign phase.Youllpartner closely with faculty leadership and advancement colleagues to shape strategy deepen donor engagement and drive meaningful philanthropic investment.
Your Contribution Will Likely Include:
- Managing and executing strategies for a portfolio of 100125 major gift prospects capable of giving $100000
- Building and advancing relationships through in-person visits written communication and digital outreach
- Developing and implementing cultivation solicitation and stewardship strategies to maximize donor engagement
- Meeting and exceeding annual fundraising goals and performance metrics
- Partnering with faculty and academic leaders to align donor interests with institutional priorities
- Serving as a trusted advisor and liaison across the HMC community including alumni parents and volunteers
- Collaborating across Advancement including Alumni and Parent Relations to enhance giving opportunities
- Staying current on philanthropy trends and applying best practices to strengthen outcomes
- Ensuring compliance with fundraising policies and donor management protocols
- RepresentingHMC at events and engaging donors through travel including evenings and weekends as needed
Experience You Will Bring:
- Bachelors degree
- At least five years of experience in major gifts fundraising within a medium-to-large development operation
- Proventrack recordof successfullysolicitingand closing six- and seven-figure gifts
- Experience working in higher education and/or a capital campaign environment strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals
- Strong understanding of fundraising best practices and donor lifecycle management
- Ability to independently manage a portfolio while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication listening and interpersonal skills
- High levelof discretion judgment and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfort working in a complex institutional environment with diverse stakeholders
- Willingness and ability to travel up to two weeks per month and work occasional evenings/weekends
- Experience or familiarity with entrepreneurial or innovation ecosystems (e.g. startups VC) is a plus
