The successful candidate will provide essential support in payroll processing and general administrative functions ensuring accuracy compliance and efficiency in all payroll-related activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be based in Durban or surrounding areas
- Minimum 13 years experience in an administrative role
- Solid understanding and working knowledge of payroll processes and systems
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll in an accurate and timely manner.
- Capture and update employee payroll information including new appointments terminations salary changes and deductions.
- Verify timesheets attendance records and leave data to ensure correct payroll calculations.
- Maintain and update payroll records and employee files in line with company policies and legislation.
- Reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy before final submission for payment.
- Assist with the administration of statutory deductions including UIF PAYE and other applicable contributions.
- Respond to employee payroll queries in a professional and timeous manner.
- Support HR and Finance departments with payroll-related reports and documentation.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all employee and payroll information at all times.
- Assist in preparing monthly payroll reports for management review.
- Maintain compliance with relevant labour laws and payroll regulations.
- Support general administrative duties within the HR/Finance department as required.
