Position Summary
Ipswich Public Schools is seeking a visionary and collaborative Library Media Specialist to lead our shared Middle/High School Library Media Center. Following the districts mission to empower students as savvy consumers of information the specialist will transform the library into a hub of inquiry digital literacy and academic excellence for students in grades 612.
The successful candidate will be a partner in the instructional process working closely with faculty to integrate 21st-century skillscritical thinking creativity and collaborationinto a diverse and inclusive curriculum.
Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts DESE License as a School Library Teacher (All Levels).
- A Masters Degree from an ALA-accredited program (Library Science/Information Science) is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in library management systems online databases and educational platforms
- Previous experience in a middle or high school setting is highly desirable.
