The Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Compliance is looking for a highly organized and motivated Administrative Assistant 4to provide critical administrative support to statewide leadership and staff across Washington.


This is far more than a traditional administrative role. Youll serve as a trusted partner to executive leadership coordinate high-level operational activities manage sensitive and confidential information support budget and travel processes and help ensure statewide compliance operations function efficiently every day.

Duties

In this dynamic role you will:

  • Provide executive-level administrative support to DOSH Compliance leadership
  • Manage calendars schedules assignments and statewide coordination efforts
  • Communicate professionally with managers staff and external customers
  • Draft edit and review correspondence and reports
  • Track program spending and assist with budget-related activities
  • Coordinate travel processes and reimbursement documentation
  • Serve as a resource on administrative procedures policies and systems
  • Maintain confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Support special projects and help solve operational challenges as they arise
  • Utilize Microsoft Word Excel SharePoint and other systems to organize and manage work efficiently
  • Provide bilingual Spanish/English support to employees and customers as needed

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Proficient with specific software programs such as MS Word Excel SharePoint PowerPoint.
  • The ability to take action to learn and grow.
  • The ability to take action to meet the needs of others.

And one of the following:

  • Four years of progressively responsible clerical office or administrative experience

OR

  • A bachelors degree in business administration public administration or a closely related field

OR

  • One year as an Administrative Assistant 3 or two years as an Administrative Assistant 2

OR

  • Equivalent education and/or experience

DESIRED:

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable. When hired as bilingual after passing an assessment of your ability to write and speak fluently employees with bilingual responsibilities receive a 5% increase in pay.
