COMPENSATION RANGE
Pay Range: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
Shift: Monday through Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm with required rest and meal breaks. Overtime hours may be required during busier seasons. Full time non-exempt.
JOB SUMMARY
Accents & Interiors is currently seeking a full-time Service Technician to join our team in the single-family homebuilding industry. Using their construction experience the Service Technician is responsible for gathering data and evidence of warranty/repair requests and provides best practice solutions to ensure quality and integrity as well as execution of the service and repair. This position reports to the Dispatch Manager with daily travel to job sites. Company vehicle provided.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Examine scope of repair and complete a inspection report with details gathered.
Complete services and repairs on a variety of floor coverings.
Complete production paperwork and write-ups to document the repair provided.
Communicate adjustments needed on the jobsite.
Communicate with a variety of internal and external parties including builders homeowners and sub-contractors regarding the status and approach.
Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
Previous work experience using Microsoft Office applications.
Must have a valid drivers license and meet our minimum standards following a Motor Vehicle Record review at time of job offer and at regular intervals while employed.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without restriction and on a regular basis.
Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing for training and project updates and to independently handle external and internal requests.
Math skills acquired through high school diploma or equivalent to record measurements calculate fractions and percentages convert square feet and square yards and understand basic financial transactions.
Preferred Qualifications (nice-to-haves)
Experience in the flooring and/or construction industry is helpful but not required. We are willing to train motivated candidates who demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time; to reach with hands and arms; to move among and between job sites; to sit stoop kneel and crouch; to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis; to see well enough to discern differences in quality of product and installation.
Communication: Ability to effectively communicate and exchange accurate information with customers and team members including in busy or noisy environments.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position:
Warehouse/Facility: May be exposed to non-climate-controlled environments (heat and cold) moving mechanical parts vibration and elevated noise levels.
Job Site/Field: Exposure to active construction sites outdoor weather conditions dust and fumes. Requires use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
Travel: Requires approximately 100% travel to local jobsites.
