Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising training and scheduling shop personnel. This role oversees the manufacturing and quality control of all equipment and manages parts and work orders including implementing equipment process instructions. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Good general math and trigonometry skills
Ability to interpret manufacturing routing forms
Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude
Working knowledge of computers and the Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with metal fabrication
Hands-on knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques
Three or more years of supervisory experience

Responsibilities

Promote excellence throughout the department
Maintain shop organization cleanliness and quality
Promote and maintain PRAB production system standards
Supervise manufacturing activities to optimize productivity and accuracy
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve product efficiency issues (PEI)
Drive continuous improvement in all critical activities
Job work order and parts order scheduling
Assist in the development and implementation of fixtures and fixture kits for existing and new products
Maintain a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety
Interface with other manufacturing departments engineering purchasing processing shipping and sales
Attend all scheduled meetings as required
An active member of the manufacturing problem-solving team
