This position plays a vital role in the maintenance and upkeep of approximately 340 buildings under the Area Maintenance Department.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades building maintenance maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction construction technology or engineering; OR
Twelve semester hours in construction management construction technology or engineering or any combination of these courses.Job Specification

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Plumbing: Repair and install commodes lavatories water fountains and garbage disposals. Unstop sewer lines and drains repair leaks and repair/replace faucets.
- Electrical: Replace Light bulbs. Repair/replace ballasts receptacles switches and fans. Replace motors pumps etc.
- Appliance Repair: Repair washing machines dryers ice machines and refrigerators.
- Carpentry: Repair doors door closers hinges cabinet doors knobs baseboards cabinets furniture door stops windows etc.
- Refrigeration: Performs preventive maintenance and maintenance to A/C units and air handlers. Clean coils; work on pumps to air handlers and motors chill water valves controls belts and filters.
- Keep a check on hot water temperatures and maintain a log.
- Run and service generators and maintain the log. Inspects fire extinguishers monthly and maintains a log.
Position-Specific Details:
Location: Pinecrest Supports and Services Center Area Maintenance
Shift: 4:00 pm 12:00 am - Monday and Tuesday
Appointment Type: This position may be filled by a Temporary Job Appointment not to exceed 48 months. Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
