Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer Aviation
Austin Houston San Antonio Charlotte Raleigh Charleston Columbia Tampa Orlando Atlanta or Baton Rouge Office
We are seeking a self-motivatedSenior Project Engineer/Project Managerto support our aviation projects and pursuits in the has a highly successful operation in Florida with numerous on-call contracts and a healthy backlog of work. Relocation will be paid for qualified of Office and Work from Home available.
Position Responsibilities
AsProject Engineer/Project Managerthe daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Design runways taxiways aprons and other airfield projects using FAA Advisory Circulars
- Design landside facilities such as roads parking and utilities
- Supervise designers and CADD technicians
- Performs and/or leads civil design using knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Works with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of the Aviation Service Director.
- Manage construction projects as the owners representative
- Obtain permits from local municipalities and statewide agencies

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a related field with a minimum of 4 years of aviation design experience with detailed knowledge of FAA standards is preferred.
- Senior positions are available for candidates with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in design programs is preferred (AutoCAD Civil 3D ArcGIS Microsoft Excel etc.).
- Ability to efficiently complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision with a focus on client service.
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Willingness and ability to learn new job skills.
