The Nucleic Acids R&D co-op is responsible for supporting the development optimization and integration of RNA-focused unit operations through experimental execution data generation and technical documentation.

This position reports to the Manager and is part of the Nucleic Acids R&D team located in Vancouver and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

• Support optimization of end-to-end process workflows for RNA-based therapeutics and related applications.

• Assist in process development and scale-up activities including upstream and downstream operations.

• Contribute to integration and improvement of RNA manufacturing steps to enhance efficiency and consistency.

• Prepare technical documentation including SOPs reports and presentations.

• Assist with day-to-day lab operations and perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelors program in Biochemical engineering chemical engineering Biotechnology or Biochemistry

• Analytical ability to interpret data and troubleshoot issues.

• Must be a proactive detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• The individual must be a team player who thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Basic understanding of RNA.

• Familiarity with unit operations such as chromatography Tangential flow filtration formulation.

• Experience/familiarity of techniques such as nucleic acid and protein purification enzyme kinetics gel electrophoresis.

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is CAD/year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
