Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)

Hours: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a 13-week contract assignment in a hospital laboratory setting. The CLS will perform a wide range of complex diagnostic testing ensure accuracy of results maintain quality control standards and support timely clinical decision-making that directly impacts patient care.
This role requires strong technical expertise attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory testing and specimen analysis across multiple disciplines
- Operate calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
- Ensure accuracy of test results through established quality control and quality assurance procedures
- Process handle and prepare patient specimens in compliance with safety standards
- Maintain adherence to laboratory safety protocols infection control guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Document and report laboratory findings accurately within laboratory information systems
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and clinical staff regarding test results and interpretations
- Support inventory management reagent preparation and supply tracking
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and competency assessments
Required Qualifications
- Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) certification/licensure in accordance with state requirements
- Strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures and diagnostic methodologies
- Knowledge of quality control quality assurance and laboratory safety standards
- Proficiency in operating laboratory analyzers and related equipment
- Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting
- Experience in high-volume laboratory environments
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities
