A leading heavy industrial manufacturing group operating advanced press line and continuous production systems is expanding its maintenance capability and is seeking highly experienced Hydraulic Technicians. Limited Duration Contract employment based in Mpumalanga (Manufacturing Industrial Region).
- This is NOT a basic hose replacement role.
- This position is for technicians who understand industrial press hydraulics can fault-find from schematics and work confidently on high-pressure production-critical systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the maintenance repair overhaul installation commissioning and optimisation of complex hydraulic systems supporting press lines and plant equipment.
- Work closely with maintenance engineering and production teams to reduce downtime improve reliability and ensure safe efficient operation of critical hydraulic systems.
- Experience on press hydraulics (melamine / platen / industrial presses)
- Formal hydraulic training (Parker Bosch Rexroth Hytec Hydac or similar)
Understanding of:
- Contamination control
- Oil management
- System optimisation & reliability improvement
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Trade tested (Fitter / Millwright / Mechanical Trade)
- Strong hands-on industrial hydraulics experience
- Industrial Installation L.D.C. Project exp.
- Ability to read & interpret hydraulic schematics
- Proven fault-finding and diagnostic capability
- Experience on: Hydraulic power packs Pumps & valves Cylinders & manifolds Accumulators
- Experience in a manufacturing / production plant environment
- Traceable & contactable references
- Local residency or relocation required
