QA Test Engineer (fmd)

Responsibilities

• Design execute and maintain manual test cases across our RegTech product suite.
• Build and extend our automated test coverage contributing to a long-term shift from manual to automated testing wherever it adds value.
• Investigate reproduce and clearly document defects working closely with developers to drive them to resolution.
• Validate functional and non-functional requirements across releases.
• Contribute to QA strategy tooling choices and continuous improvement of our testing practices.
• Partner with product management and engineering throughout the development lifecycle from refinement to release.

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a comparable field alternatively equivalent practical experience.
• 35 years of professional experience in a similar role within software quality assurance or testing.
• Solid hands-on experience in software testing including both manual and automated testing approaches.
• Practical knowledge of test automation frameworks and experience creating automated tests for real-world applications.
• Good understanding of Java-based environments and confidence working within a Java / Gradle / containerized technology stack.
• Ability to write and analyze SQL queries against relational databases for validation and troubleshooting purposes.
• Experience testing APIs and backend services in addition to user interface workflows.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex issues and identify root causes.
• Passion for high-quality test design including test coverage edge-case analysis and maintainable test suites.
• Familiarity with areas such as CI/CD pipelines performance testing security testing and agile development methodologies.
• Very good communication skills in both German and English.
