Area Sales Manager
Job Summary
Polestar is growing fast in Spain and we are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to take ownership of our retail network performance across the country. This is a senior commercial role not a stepping stone designed for someone who has already built a career in premium automotive sales and is ready to shape how Polestar sells in one of our most strategic markets.
Let us describe the challenge we offer
You will oversee all Polestar Spaces and partner points of sale in Spain driving sales performance network quality and customer experience. You will work closely with the Sales Director and the broader Iberia leadership team and be a key voice in how we build and execute our retail strategy on the ground.
The role is based in Madrid with frequent travel across the Spanish network. A hybrid working model applies for non-travel weeks.
What youll do
You will own the commercial performance of the Spanish retail network. Day to day that means:
Drive sales results across all Polestar Spaces and retail partners ensuring volume and NPS targets are met and exceeded
Coach and develop Space Managers and sales staff through regular in-person visits structured performance reviews and hands-on field coaching
Analyse sales data pipeline health and market trends to identify risks and opportunities and act on them with speed and precision
Build and maintain strong relationships with our agent and dealer partners acting as a trusted commercial counterpart
Contribute to the development of regional sales strategy promotional campaigns and go-to-market plans for new model launches
Ensure consistent execution of Polestar sales processes customer journey standards and brand guidelines across all touchpoints
Support the expansion of the Spanish network as we grow toward our target of 11 spaces participating in partner onboarding and sales excellence
Provide structured market feedback to the Sales Director and HQ on competitive dynamics customer behaviour and network performance
Who you are
You are a senior sales professional with deep roots in premium automotive retail. You have spent years in the field managing teams developing relationships and delivering results and you know what good looks like. You are equally comfortable reading a sales dashboard and sitting across the table from a dealer principal.
You do not need to be told what to do. You take ownership set the pace and bring structure and accountability to everything you touch. You have strong commercial instincts and know how to balance short-term performance pressure with long-term network health.

What You Bring
A minimum of 7 years of experience in premium or luxury automotive sales with at least 3 years in a regional or area management role
A proven track record of delivering sales targets across a multi-site retail network you can point to concrete results
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales professionals at all levels from frontline consultants to Space or Dealership Managers
Deep understanding of automotive retail operations including CRM usage pipeline management and performance reporting
Experience navigating agency or non-traditional distribution models is a strong advantage
Fluent Spanish is required; professional-level English is essential for HQ communication
High commercial acumen comfortable with data financial KPIs and translating insight into action
A bachelors degree in Business Sales or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
