CONTEXT:

You know how operational disruptions regulatory inconsistencies or inaccurate gas flow planning can critically impact transmission balancing customer operations and the integration of future low-carbon energy carriers especially in the context of agile digital product teams managing large-scale gas flow management applications across multiple European operators.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As one of our Project Partners your objective is to support the evolution of digital Gas Flow Management solutions by translating business needs into reliable functional solutions aligned with operational regulatory and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities might include:

Stakeholder Coordination & Project Facilitation:
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather analyze and clarify business requirements
- Collaborate with product team members to refine requirements into user stories estimate effort and ensure sprint delivery
- Support end users during UAT conduct demo sessions deliver training sessions and provide clear documentation
- Handle service requests from business stakeholders manage production issues and suggest improvements to ensure timely and effective support
- Contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives and continuous improvements of team ways of working
- Actively engage in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement sprint planning reviews retrospectives and daily stand-ups

Analysis Assessment & Validation:
- Deeply understand customer and business needs beyond stated requirements and assess valuable feasible product evolutions
- Execute functional tests and validate solutions against business expectations

Solution Design Documentation & Product Delivery:
- Translate requirements into conceptual models such as use case diagrams activity diagrams and information models aligned with the existing application architecture
- Create and maintain functional documentation supporting the product lifecycle
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of Gas Flow Management products supporting regulatory compliance customer-facing capabilities and future carbon-neutral energy carriers such as hydrogen and biomethane

Profile:
- Degree in computer science engineering business or a related field
- Proven experience in functional or business analysis within Agile environments such as Scrum SAFe LeSS or similar methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to simplify complex business challenges
- Proven experience with UML and BPMN
- Proficiency with modelling and documentation tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect and Confluence
- Good knowledge of relational databases and ability to write simple SQL queries
- Familiarity with backlog and sprint management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative and cross-functional teams
- Fluency in English and a good command of either French or Dutch with willingness to improve the other language
- Willingness to work onsite in Brussels 3 days per week with partial homeworking
- Availability for an initial 6-month assignment with long-term extension perspective
- Fast availability is preferred
- An entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus (extra-professional or extra-academic as well)
- Valid single permit for non-EU citizens
