Field Application Engineer Sensorics

We are seeking a Field Application Engineer (FAE) with 5 years of experience in the sensorics market to provide technical expertise customer support and application development assistance. The role bridges engineering sales and customers ensuring successful integration of sensor solutions across various applications.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Application Support

• Act as the primoary technical contact for customers during pre- and post-sales phases
• Analyze customer requirements and recommend suitable sensor solutions
• Support design-in activities and system integration at customer sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-world applications

Technical Expertise

• Provide in-depth knowledge of sensor technologies (e.g. pressure temperature optical MEMS proximity etc.)
• Develop application notes reference designs and technical documentation
• Conduct product demonstrations evaluations and proof-of-concept testing

Sales & Business Support

• Collaborate closely with sales teams to support business development
• Participate in customer meetings presentations and technical negotiations
• Support RFQs tenders and technical proposals

Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Train customers and internal teams on product featurs and applications
• Stay updated on market trends competitor products and emerging technologies

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in
  - Electrical Engineering
  - Electronics Engineering
  - Mechatronics
  - Physics or related field
• 5 years of experience in
  - Sensor Technologies or sensor-based systems
  - Field application engineering technical sales or system engineering

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of
  - Analog and digital electronics
  - Signal processing and data acquisition
  - Embedded systems and microcontrollers
• Experience with
  - Sensor integration and calibration
  - Communication protocols (I2C SPI UART CAN etc.)
  - Lab equipment (oscilloscopes multimeters etc.)
• Basic Software skills
  - C/C or Python (preferred)
  - Familiarity with simulation tools or MATLAB is a plus

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Customer-orientated mindset
• Abilit yto work independently and manage multiple projects
• Willingness to travel (oftern 20-50%)

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

• Experience in Industries such as
  - Automotive
  - Industrial Automation
  - IoT / smart divices
• Knowledge of certification standards (e.g. ISO automative standards)
• Experience working in an international environment
