Job Summary
Title : Mainframe Engineer
Location : Westlake TX. Remote every other week.
Duration 12 months
Client :Fidelity Investments
Rate : 50 hr on w2

Interview Process: 2 rounds. 1st 60 mins technical. 2nd 30 mins with HM. Potentially onsite.
The Role
Seeking a Mainframe Developer to support and enhance high-volume production platforms focused on customer financial communications including trade confirmations statements and other regulatory communications. This role involves developing and maintaining enterprise-level applications within a mission-critical environment while partnering closely with business and technology teams to deliver stable high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities include production support software deployments detailed analysis and documentation and ensuring strong testing and data security practices across both batch and online systems.
The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience developing enterprise applications with strong hands-on expertise in COBOL JCL CICS DB2 and VSAM. Experience working in mainframe environments is essential while exposure to distributed technologies or distributed services is considered a plus. Strong communication problem-solving and organizational skills are important along with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively within agile engineering teams. The role is best suited for someone with a growth mindset who enjoys learning new technologies and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
