Experience:

9 years of relevant experience in an Electrical Design department within the Overhead crane industries.

Soft Skills:

EPLAN Electric AutoCAD Mechanical
Experience working with PLM systems such as Team center or equivalent software experience.

Key Skills:

Proficiency in electrical design software such as EPLAN Electric
Hands-on experience in Teamcenter for design data management and document control
In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations (IEC NEC IS CE UL CSA etc.)
Experience in designing electrical systems for industrial overhead cranes
Exposure to application-specific crane systems such as:
Hot metal handling cranes
Galvanizing plant cranes
Seashore / coastal environment cranes

Automation crane like PLC operated crane.

Experience in power distribution control panels and crane electrification systems
Familiarity with circuit analysis and simulation tools
Working knowledge of Excel for engineering calculations and reports
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to interpret electrical schematics GA drawings and technical specifications
Knowledge of drives motors brakes limit switches festoon systems and safety interlocks
Effective communication and cross-functional coordination skills
Vendor coordination and technical evaluation capability

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage electrical design activities for crane projects with the design team.
Prepare and review electrical schematics wiring diagrams and technical specifications
Work in Teamcenter for drawing release revision control and documentation management
Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
Coordinate with Service Erection & Commissioning and Production teams for design finalization
Conduct feasibility studies design reviews and risk assessments
Perform design calculations and optimization of electrical systems
Select suitable components and prepare BOM for procurement
Support testing commissioning and troubleshooting activities
Standardize design practices and maintain design documentation
Support cost optimization and value engineering initiatives
Keep updated with advancements in electrical design technology
