Role: Test Lead Ecommerce Onsite in San Francisco.

Role Overview

Test Lead to drive end-to-end Quality Engineering for E-commerce and Digital platforms. This role will lead QA strategy execution and governance across web mobile and backend services operating in a distributed onsite offshore model. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership hands-on automation experience and the ability to align QE outcomes with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead QE efforts across E-commerce (web/mobile) and digital platforms ensuring high-quality releases
Own test strategy planning execution and reporting across multiple PODs/scrum teams
Drive onsite offshore coordination ensuring seamless communication prioritization and delivery
Establish and enforce automation-first approach (UI API and regression suites)
Collaborate with Product Engineering and Business teams for requirement clarity and test coverage
Define and track QE metrics (defect leakage automation coverage cycle time release quality)
Ensure CI/CD integration of test suites and quality gates
Lead defect triage RCA and continuous improvement initiatives
Support UAT production validation and release sign-offs
Mentor and guide QA team members across onsite and offshore locations
Required Skills & Experience

8 years in Quality Engineering with 2 years in Test Lead role
Strong experience in E-commerce/Digital platforms (high traffic customer-facing systems)
Hands-on experience in test automation (Selenium Playwright Cypress or similar)
Strong understanding of API testing (Postman RestAssured etc.)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Proven experience managing onsite offshore delivery models
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions etc.)
Strong knowledge of test management tools (TestRail Jira etc.)
Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills
Good to Have

Experience in retail domain
Exposure to performance testing and observability tools
Understanding of AI-driven QE or test optimization approaches
Experience with service virtualization and contract testing
