Job Summary
Now Hiring: Landfill Laborer
Carson City NV
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 4:30 PM
We are currently seeking dependable and hardworking individuals for a Landfill Laborer position in Carson City. This is an outdoor physically active role supporting landfill operations and maintaining cleanliness throughout the site.
Job Duties:
- Pick up windblown trash on roads hills and surrounding landfill areas
- Bag litter and load debris cardboard and trash into pickup trucks
- Assist with general landfill cleanup and maintenance
- Move heavy items such as refrigerators and other debris
- Perform snow shoveling and equipment cleaning as needed
- Complete basic records and timesheets
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with the public and staff
- Support additional landfill operations as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk for extended periods on uneven terrain
- Lift and carry up to 60 pounds
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Exposure to dust fumes hazardous chemicals and environmental conditions
Dress Code:
- Ankle-supporting boots required
- No shorts permitted
