Who are we looking for

Our accomplished APAC Legal team is seeking an In-house Lawyer to cover a 12-month parental leave position. The successful applicant will support internal multi-disciplinary clients within a committed dynamic and encouraging work environment.

As part of an engaged collaborative supportive yet fast-paced legal team you will be involved in:

• Reviewing negotiating and drafting of a wide range of commercial contracts including consultancy contracts in a range of contexts such as design and construct design only alliancing and pure consultancy (or sub-consultancy) services for major infrastructure projects.
• Providing advice on:
  • General legal issues that arise from day to day in a global consulting firm in the areas of contract law commercial disputes and litigation management.
  • Legislative compliance internal policies and some corporate governance matters.

What you will bring to the team:

• PQE with some experience gained from an in-house position.

• Strong commercial contracting skills ideally with exposure to infrastructure and defence clients/ projects.

• Experience in varied procurement formats contract reviews and drafting of complex projects.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills strong team mindset.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Experience in a geographically dispersed team with a focus on complex engineering and/or design projects.
  

This is a 12-month parental leave with potential for the role to go permanent. The role can be based in either our Melbourne or Adelaide GHD office.
