Chilton Community Primary School are seeking a caring passionate and organised After School Club Leader to lead our popular afterschool provision. This is a wonderful opportunity to support children in a safe nurturing and engaging environment at the end of the school day.
About the role
As After School Club Leader you will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of fun ageappropriate activities for children aged 411. You will create a welcoming and inclusive environment where pupils feel safe supported and able to enjoy their time after school.
Your responsibilities will include:
- planning and lead engaging activities such as arts and crafts sports games and homework support
- ensuring the safety welfare and safeguarding of all children
- preparing and serving snacks following food hygiene and allergy procedures
- maintaining daily registers and records including incidents and parent communication
- setting up and clear away equipment maintaining a clean and organised space
- building positive relationships with pupils parents/carers and school staff
- supervising staff volunteers or playworkers where applicable
- monitoring resources and report any supply needs.
About you
Essential:
- Experience working with children aged 411
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Ability to plan and lead structured activities
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training
- Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent experience)
Desirable:
- Food hygiene certification
- Experience leading or supervising others
- SEN experience
- Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training
