About the opportunity

Reporting to Maintenance Supervisor the Millwright will focus on maintaining equipment and limiting downtime. With a focus on safety the Millwright will maintain the facilitys systems and equipment by providing maintenance troubleshooting and repair/rebuilding/replacing of equipment.

Snapshot Of a Day-In-The-Life

• As part of the maintenance team focus on minimizing downtime and the execution of a preventative maintenance program equipment troubleshooting and hands-on corrective actions. 
• Carry out preventative maintenance on processing equipment maximizing equipment maximizing equipment uptime and general maintenance repairs. 
• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts through a PM or unscheduled maintenance 
• Fabricate parts required during overhaul maintenance and/or set-up
• Read and interpret drawings blueprints
• Opening/closing of the facility and start up/shutdown of equipment as required.
• Effective communication with management with respect to maintenance 
• Promote and comply with Health and Safety regulations
• Working with management to identify areas of improvement as well as prioritizing maintenance activities 
• General housekeeping of maintenance department and all areas within the facility
• Additional duties as assigned.

  (Probation period: 800 hours paid at $46.70/hour)

Qualifications :

What Youll Bring:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
• Must have Certificate of Qualification License 433A
• Must have completed three-year Millwright/mechanic apprenticeship program
• Must bring your own tool box large tools are supplied
• Hands-on mechanical experience
• Experience with screw belt roller conveyors hydraulics pneumatics pumps gear reducers mixers machinery rebuilding/replacing and troubleshooting is an asset
