Forklift

We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operators to support our pistachio processing operations in Firebaugh CA. The Forklift Driver will be responsible for moving raw and processed pistachio products throughout the facility loading/unloading trucks and ensuring materials are handled efficiently and safely.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Shift available: 1st

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to transport bins of pistachios packaging materials and finished products within the facility and warehouse.
• Load and unload pistachio trailers hoppers and totes from inbound and outbound shipments.
• Stage products for roasting sorting packaging or shipping according to production schedules.
• Stack wrap and label pallets of packaged pistachios for storage or delivery.
• Inspect the forklift daily and report mechanical issues or safety concerns to maintenance.
• Maintain clean organized and safe warehouse and yard areas especially during harvest season.
• Assist with inventory counts and product tracking using lot numbers and scanning systems.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety protocols and food safety standards.
• Operate different Attachments Like: Bin Dumpers Single Doubles Slip Sheet Puller. ETC.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year forklift experience in agriculture food processing or manufacturing preferred.
• Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in outdoor/indoor environments including dusty or noisy areas common in pistachio processing.
• Understanding of pistachio product flow (from receiving to shipping) is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in nut processing especially pistachios almonds or walnuts.
• Experience working in a seasonal or high-volume harvest operation.
