(Fixed Term) Manufacturing Associate
Job Summary
The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Associate and digitally savvy Operator to join our mRNA vaccines production unit. The successful candidate will operate the production equipment in accordance to cGMP compliance as well as health and safety regulations. The role requires excellent technical skills a scientific way of thinking a rapid learning capacity for new technologies in mRNA and meticulousness.
The Manufacturing Associate will be expected to demonstrate digital proficiency be comfortable working in a highly technological environment where their participation in improvements and innovations will be regularly required.
This is a shift-based role requiring availability to work across various roster schedules including afternoon and night shifts weekends and public holidays in line with production requirements. Roster cycles may change based on production demand.
This role is central to Modernas mission of producing safe effective vaccines and requires a balance of scientific understanding operational skills collaboration and digital acumen. The ideal candidate is a team player who will maintain meticulous attention to detail and participate actively to operational excellence in our fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Heres What Youll Do:
Practice safe work habits adhere to Modernas safety procedures and guidelines
Adhere to gowning procedures and maintain housekeeping of assigned area for compliant and safe working
Participate in incident investigation (RCA) and CAPA tasks
Responsible for the execution of operations activities following current good manufacturing practices standard operating procedures and manufacturing documentation
Closely partner with QA peers for closure of documentation required for timely disposition of commercial batches
Responsible for applying the performance tools in place while working as a team to meet the objectives of operational KPIs
Responds rapidly and troubleshoots routine equipment process and digital issues
Proactively identify and report to Supervisor compliance issue/health and safety issue
Responsible for keeping training records and associated documentation up to date
Perform routine basic maintenance (lubrication basic mechanical check filter change) of equipment using hand-tools
Flexibility to work overtime and adjust shift patterns in line with operational demands
Participate in multiple projects and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment
Effectively collaborate in a dynamic cross-functional matrix environment
Heres What Youll Need (Basic Qualifications)
Typically 3-5 years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
A College degree with a specialization in Pharmaceutical production technology or equivalent
Aseptic experience and Visual Inspection experience preferred
Experience in audit / inspection preparation understanding Health authority and regulatory guidelines
Ability to collaborate fluidly with peers leadership and cross-functional support groups required
Excellent written oral communication and organizational skills required.
Ability to maintain attention to detail while executing multiple tasks with minimal supervision

Demonstrated ability and willingness to work across rotating shifts including afternoon and night shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
This position is site-based requiring you to be at Modernas site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work
Proficiency in English (verbal and/or written) required due to global collaboration needs
