Your Role:

In this role The SAP Functional Product Lead in the Supply Chain domain acts as the key link between business divisions delivery teams and Digital ensuring solutions meet business and user needs while aligning with Digital strategy and architecture standards. The role is critical in translating functional requirements into effective solutions (working with System Integrator) to support successful initiative delivery. This role will leave the Supply Chain Procurement and ARIBA products within Sydney Water.

Product Requirements & Design

  • Gather and define business requirements across work requests projects and programs aligned to the Digital Blueprint.
  • Prioritise business demand in line with strategic objectives.
  • Ensure solutions are fit for purpose standardscompliant and minimise customisation where possible. Continuously evaluate and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain functional/technical specifications and product documentation.
  • Provide expert advice and solution assurance across multiple initiatives and domains.
  • Participate in project planning and scoping activities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve SAP Supply Chain Procurement ARIBA issues and errors.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with project teams delivery teams and System Integrators to shape solution design.
  • Bridge business needs with technical implementation through strong stakeholder and vendor relationships.
  • Communicate risks issues and progress escalating where required.
  • Contribute to options papers and consensusbuilding forums.

Leadership & Governance

  • Lead functional capability within the assigned domain to ensure delivery meets business and governance expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to approved designs standards and quality assurance processes.
  • Support estimation resourcing and demand management activities.
  • Monitor solution build and compliance through spot checks and reviews.

Solution Delivery & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for standardisation reuse and improvement.
  • Support integrations data migration reporting and issue resolution.
  • Analyse root causes of product issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend businessready solutions.

Testing Configuration & Financial Oversight

  • Configure solutions and support testing defect resolution and validation activities.
  • Track and manage design decisions technical debt and delivery risks.
  • Contribute to budgeting forecasting and continuous improvement of delivery standards.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification such as an undergraduate degree in Information systems related discipline or equivalent. Post graduate degree is desirable.
  • Prince 2 Foundation Certified qualification is desirable.
  • Relevant certifications in the product suite.
  • Minimum of over 10 years of experience in SAP transformation and delivery of product solutions as a functional lead in Supply Chain (SCM) including S/4HANA Procurement and SAP ARIBA.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of application design system engineering integration and IT delivery.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in the design solution assurance documentation testing and support of enterprise scale applications hosted on premise and in the cloud.
  • Foundational experience in the specific product Fundamentals WRICEF and specialised SAP functional domain such in the specific product.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across diverse stakeholders.
  • Detailed understanding of SAP SCM data models and flexible implementation options. Good knowledge of the Supply chain functions in the Utilities Industry and how they could be modelled and implemented in the SAP products data model to achieve optimum processes.
  • Extensive experience in writing Functional Specifications.
  • Have extensive hands-on design and configuration skills in specific functional areas. Comprehensive knowledge of various configuration options available for achieving a business process.
  • Able to evaluate multiple solution options for implementing a change or an enhancement and then decide on the most suitable solution option based on defined factors.
  • Where necessary be able to challenge respectfully solution options presented based on solid facts and then collaborate to arrive at an alternate solution better suited for Sydney Water.
  • Experience in collaborate with client stakeholders to define project scope timelines and deliverables.
