Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of all learners.

• Assess monitor and support student progress in line with school policies.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour for learning.

• Contribute to curriculum planning enrichment activities and departmental development.

• Provide pastoral support and build positive relationships with students parents and colleagues.

• Prepare students confidently for GCSE examinations and coursework requirements.

• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote student wellbeing at all times.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• A passion for teaching and inspiring young people.

• The ability to work collaboratively within a successful department.

• High expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
