Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 5 6 years of experience in designing developing and executing automated and manual testing strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Selenium Rest Assured Java API Testing Cloud Testing and Azure with additional exposure to Agile methodologies. Experience with Playwright is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Selenium Rest Assured and Playwright (preferred).
Perform API testing and validate integrations across microservices.
Conduct manual testing when required to ensure product quality.
Collaborate with developers product owners and QA teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
Implement and execute cloud-based testing strategies (Azure preferred).
Identify document and track defects; drive resolution with development teams.
Continuously improve test coverage efficiency and effectiveness of automation.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests.
Framework Development and Maintenance
Design & Build: Develop scalable reusable and maintainable automation frameworks using Java Selenium Rest Assured and Playwright (preferred).
Enhancements: Continuously improve framework capabilities to support new technologies tools and testing needs.
Maintenance: Ensure frameworks remain up-to-date with evolving application architecture libraries and dependencies.
Integration: Embed frameworks into CI/CD pipelines for seamless automated testing in Azure DevOps or other cloud environments.
Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation for framework usage setup and troubleshooting.
Collaboration: Partner with developers and QA engineers to extend framework features and maximize test coverage.
Best Practices: Establish coding standards version control strategies and design patterns for long-term sustainability.
Required Skills
5 6 years of experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer.
Strong programming skills in Java.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Rest Assured.
Solid understanding of API testing and tools.
Experience in manual testing methodologies.
Exposure to cloud testing platforms (Azure preferred).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
Good to Have
Experience with Playwright for modern web automation.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions Azure DevOps).
Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker Kubernetes).
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
