Senior Resident Engineer – Roads & Infrastructure

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer with strong expertise in roads infrastructure utilities and drainage projects to oversee site supervision construction management and coordination activities for major infrastructure developments in Qatar. The ideal candidate should possess extensive consultancy experience in GCC projects preferably Ashghal projects and demonstrate strong leadership technical and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all site construction activities related to roads utilities drainage and infrastructure works.
• Ensure project execution complies with approved drawings specifications quality standards and project schedules.
• Coordinate with clients consultants contractors and authorities for smooth project execution.
• Monitor contractor performance construction progress manpower and resource allocation.
• Review shop drawings method statements material submissions and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Ashghal/QCS standards safety regulations and project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control activities on site.
• Manage project reporting progress reviews and coordination meetings.
• Support contract administration variation assessments and project close-out activities.
• Mentor and supervise site engineers inspectors and technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15–20 years of overall experience in infrastructure and road projects.
• Strong GCC experience preferably in Qatar.
• Proven experience in roads utilities drainage and infrastructure projects.
• Consultancy supervision experience is highly preferred.
• Experience working on Ashghal/PWA projects will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of QCS international standards and construction practices.
• Excellent leadership coordination and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project documentation and reporting.
• MMUP/UPDA certification is preferred.
