Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled PET/CT Technologist to join our radiology team. The ideal candidate will perform PET/CT scans ensure patient safety and comfort and produce high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation. This role requires technical expertise attention to detail and excellent patient interaction skills.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
PET/CT Technologist Full-time
Department: Radiology/Nuclear Medicine
Location: On-site Arlington Heights
Days/Hours:Monday- Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Prepare and position patients for PET/CT imaging procedures
- Administer radioactive tracers according to protocols and safety standards
- Operate PET/CT imaging equipment to acquire diagnostic-quality images
- Monitor patients throughout the scanning process for safety and comfort
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols
- Perform all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient care practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology Nuclear Medicine or a related field
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Crossed trained in CT
- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) CNMT
- IEMA Licensure
- PET/CT-specific training or experience preferred
