Job Overview
The Director Global SecurityAPACChinaprovides senior leadership for security strategy operations and risk management across theAsiaPacificregion whichincludesChina. This roleis responsible forprotecting employees assets products and information while enabling business growth in complex and diverse markets. The position plays a critical role in shaping regional security strategy managing geopolitical and operational risks and partnering closely with regional and global stakeholders to ensure a safe and secure operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute the APAC and China security strategy in alignment with global securityobjectivesand business priorities.
Oversee physical security travel security crisis management and incident response across APAC markets.
Through support of intelligence assess and mitigate regional security risks including geopolitical operational and sitespecific threats.
Serve as the primary security advisor to regional leadership providing risk insights and strategic guidance.
Lead and develop regional security teams and external security partners.
Establish governance standards and metrics to ensure consistent security practices across the region.
Partner with Legal HR Supply Chain IT and Business leaders to support secure operations and business continuity.
Manage investigationsexecutive protectionsecurity incidents and crisis response activities including coordination with local authorities when.
Support transformation separation and change initiativesimpactingsecurity operations in APAC and China.
Manage regional security budgets resources and vendor relationships to ensure effective and efficient operations.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Security Management Business Criminal Justice International Relations ora relatedfield (required).
Masters degree or advanced professional education (preferred).
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Typically12 years of progressive experience in corporate security risk management or related leadership roles.
Proven experience leading regional or global security programs preferably across APAC and China.
Strong understanding of geopolitical risk crisis management and security operations in complex markets.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders andoperateeffectively in a matrixed organization.
Experience managing thirdparty security providers and external stakeholders.
Strong leadership judgment and decisionmaking capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
Experience in medical devices pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries.
Experience supporting largescale transformations or business separations.
Familiarity with regulatory cultural and operational considerations across APAC and China.
Experience implementing global security standards and governance models.
Background in investigations intelligence or risk analysis.
Other:
Language: Englishproficiency; Mandarin or other APAC languages preferred.
Travel: Up to 2530% international travel across APAC and China.
Certifications: Professional security or risk certifications (e.g. CPP PSP) preferred.
