RiverView Health is a community owned membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston MN.
RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department
Position Status: .9 fte (72 hours per pay period) - rotational days and nights (12-hour shifts); Two (2) weekends out of every six (6) weeks.

Salary Range: $36.73 - $51.43 / per hour (based on experience) - benefitted

Riverview Healths Emergency Department is currently looking for an exceptional RN to join our team.
Summary:
The Emergency Department (ED) RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The RN assesses triages and treats patients with a wide range of medical conditions ensuring timely and effective care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Essential Functions:
- Patient Assessment and Triage - Perform rapid assessment and triage based on patient acuity.
- Provide direct patient care in the ER including triage stabilization treatment and discharge planning.
- Emergency Intervention - Respond to life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest respiratory distress and trauma.
- Documentation and Reporting - Accurately document patient care and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Demonstrate compliance with all regulatory standards infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
- Communication and Collaboration - Communicate effectively with physicians advanced practice providers and other healthcare team members. Provide patient education on plan of care discharge instructions and medications.
- Patient Advocacy and Safety - Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately.
- Emotional and Crisis Support - Provide emotional support to patients and families during traumatic events. Maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situations.
Qualifications
Minimum(s):
- Current State of Minnesota RN license is required.
- Current BLS ACLS PALS and TNCC Certifications (if not current RiverView will discuss assistance in obtaining on hire).
Preferred(s):
- 2 years of experience in emergency nursing ICU or trauma
Competencies:
- Must work well under pressure and be sensitive to concerns and confidentiality of the patient
- Ability to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds with professionalism and care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication critical thinking and interpersonal skills
