Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient PTISC

Position Title: Pharmacy Technician Inpatient
Location: Seaside OR 97138
Employment Type: Travel / Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks (high possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5x8 Hours (09:30 AM 06:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
Start Date: 06/01/2026

Job Summary:
Support inpatient pharmacy operations in a critical access hospital by assisting with medication preparation IV admixture medication dispensing and Pyxis system management while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound sterile and non-sterile medications
• Perform IV admixture of non-hazardous medications
• Manage medication dispensing using Pyxis systems
• Maintain accurate labeling packaging and documentation of medications
• Support medication safety and report medication errors
• Follow aseptic technique and pharmacy compliance standards
• Document pharmacy activities in EPIC EMR
• Assist with controlled substance documentation as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience required
• Travel experience required
• EPIC experience required (hard stop)
• Pyxis experience required (hard stop)
• Community hospital experience required
• Active Oregon State Pharmacy Technician License required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Strong IV admixture and compounding experience required
• Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and controlled substances
• Must have own vehicle for assignment
• Weekend availability required

Preferred:

• CPhT certification preferred
• Pharmacy technician training program preferred
