Deputy Market Manager

Fixed Term Contract 6 months

About the role:

Were looking for a proactive Deputy Market Manager to support the day-to-day running of Birkenhead Market and associated markets across the Borough.

This is a hands-on operational role supporting market operations trader engagement events compliance staff supervision and facilities management. Youll support the Market Manager and take responsibility for the service in their absence helping ensure the market operates safely effectively and commercially.

About the candidate:

Were looking for someone with experience in a retail commercial hospitality events or a market environment. Youll need strong organisational and communication skills a practical approach to problem-solving and experience supporting operational services in a customer-focused setting.

Experience working within a market or trading environment along with knowledge of health and safety or compliance processes would be an advantage.

This is a great opportunity to play an important role in the ongoing operation and development of Birkenhead Market and surrounding events programme.
