DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
Performs advanced purchasing activities for assigned parts subassemblies and services in support of Pride manufacturing and operational requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Drive supplier performance and support cost quality and delivery objectives through effective procurement strategies
Take the lead on day-to-day purchasing activities for assigned commodities with limited direction ensuring continuity of supply and alignment with production and business requirements
Develop and execute purchase orders blanket orders and supplier agreements for assigned materials parts and services
Collaborate and problem solve to secure production on-time shipments and that lead-times are consistently met
Establish consistent forward-thinking communication with Quantum Production and Quantum Fabrication to maintain a smooth uninterrupted workflow
Manage and optimize purchasing data replenishment strategies and inventory parameters in ERP/MRP systems
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers and drive performance related to delivery quality cost and service
Proactively identify and resolve purchasing issues related to shortages capacity constraints delivery risks quality concerns or pricing discrepancies
Analyze demand trends inventory levels and supplier capabilities to support production requirements and inventory optimization
Take the lead on price analysis cost reduction initiatives and negotiation activities to achieve year-over-year savings and value improvement
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D teams to support new product introductions engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives
Support supplier selection evaluation and ongoing performance assessment including corrective action when required
Maintain accurate purchasing records in ERP/MRP systems to secure purchase orders price accuracy and to support any issues with accounts payable and/or transportation towards the suppliers
Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training
Focus on continuous improvement and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

PREFERRED SKILLS
Strong working knowledge of inventory management and/or demand planning in a manufacturing environment for at least a midsize company preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years of purchasing and/or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
At least 3 years of cost analysis and supplier assessment experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment for assembled mechanical/electrical parts products and/or components preferred
At least 3 years of experience supporting cross-functional projects impacting supply chain continuity within Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Associates Degree in a Business-related field OR High School Diploma or GED with at least 6 years of the required experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management Business or a related field preferred
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
