What you will do

The Executive Director Global Marketing Lead (GML) for UPLIZNA is a critical commercial leadership role within Amgens Global Marketing organization responsible for shaping and executing the global commercial strategy across the product lifecycle. As the global brand steward the GML provides a unified ONE Commercial Voice across indications markets and functions to maximize asset value and enable consistent disciplined execution within Amgens Global-with-Local model the GML translates enterprise product strategy into clear global commercial direction integrating global strategy with local insights to advance global expansion efforts and patient impact. The GML leads a highly matrixed organization across UPLIZNAs three approved indications ensuring cohesive brand strategy with appropriate differentiation by indication and will be responsible for future lifecycle GML partners closely with the Global Product Team Lead (GPTL) to ensure tight alignment between product strategy governance decisions and commercial execution while retaining clear ownership of global brand and market strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Brand & Indication Leadership
Own and lead development and execution of the Global Brand Plan (GBP) across all approved indications
Define global patient segmentation positioning messaging value propositions and brand architecture
Lead global launch readiness and in-line brand optimization ensuring strong differentiation and scalability
Drive alignment across three approved indications ensuring consistency where required and intentional differentiation where warranted
Serve as the global commercial decision-maker for brand strategy choices within the context of enterprise product strategy
Integrated Brand Team (IBT) & Cross-Functional Leadership
Lead the Integrated Brand Team (IBT) and Brand Working Group (BWG) setting clear commercial priorities and executional focus
Serve as the primary global marketing interface with key markets lead and business unit directors for the top 8 markets enabling strong collaboration trust and transparency
Represent commercial in key alliance partnerships
Build and sustain strong cross-functional partnerships with Medical Value & Access Regulatory Analytics and Insights
Provide clear commercial perspectives and recommendations into Product Team discussions and governance forums in partnership with the GPTL
Commercial Strategy Development & Execution
Orchestrate development of the GBP by integrating market insights analytics forecasting and cross-functional inputs
Communicate a clear global commercial vision and ensure disciplined execution across regions and markets
Lead global market research strategy forecasting and brand investment optimization
Translate enterprise product decisions into actionable commercial implications for markets and regions
Deliver commercial recommendations and implications to governance bodies aligned with GPTL-led product decisions
GlobalLocal Integration
Drive a ONE Commercial Voice integrating country perspectives into a cohesive global strategy
Ensure strong global consistency while enabling thoughtful local customization
Enable best-practice sharing capability building and commercial excellence across markets
Partner with regional and country leaders to ensure global strategy is executable and scaled effectively
External Engagement & Brand Representation
Engage with key external stakeholders including key opinion leaders (KOLs) patient advocacy organizations and strategic partners to strengthen brand credibility and impact
Represent the UPLIZNA brand and Amgen at key industry forums congresses and external engagements shaping the external narrative and enhancing visibility
Team Leadership & Impact
Lead and develop a high-performing matrixed global marketing organization across indications
Foster a culture of collaboration accountability and innovation across functions and geographies
Coach and develop talent building strong succession and future-ready leadership capability
Drive execution excellence to maximize brand performance and patient impact
Leadership & Enterprise Impact
Acts as the global commercial leader and brand steward for UPLIZNA
Orchestrates cross-functional and multi-country commercial efforts to deliver results
Partners with the GPTL to ensure seamless connection between enterprise product strategy and commercial execution
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 6 years of Global Marketing experience OR
Masters degree and 10 years of Global Marketing experience OR
Bachelors degree and 12 years of Global Marketing experience AND
6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams projects programs or directing the allocation of resources

Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience and addition to the base salary Amgen offers a Total Rewards Plan based on eligibility comprising of health and welfare plans for staff and eligible dependents financial plans with opportunities to save towards retirement or other goals work/life balance and career development opportunities that may include:
