DESCRIPTION:
Be part of our Quality Control team at Thermo Fisher Scientific where youll contribute by ensuring the quality and reliability of products that help make the world healthier cleaner and safer. Youll perform testing and analysis to support the development of innovative therapeutic products. Youll conduct quality control testing of raw materials in-process samples and finished products using various analytical techniques. Youll document and analyze test results participate in investigations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Test samples of microbiological media and diagnostic products manufactured at our site using prescribed methods such as growth promotion and microbial load testing
  • Raw material in-process and incoming goods testing and evaluation of alternative materials.
  • Act as Approved signatory for manufactured products.
  • Initiate product non-conformance reports and investigate customer complaints.
  • Execute organism maintenance in line with documented procedures.
  • Undertake the preparation of antiserum purified antibodies and other materials.
  • Participate in site Environmental monitoring program
  • Operate maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments to required specifications as required.
  • Prepare samples for customer evaluation as required.
  • Provide technical support to operations personnel and assist with failure/root cause investigations and implementation of CAPA.
  • Comply with health and safety (EHS) procedures and ISO17025 QMS requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in microbiology or biological sciences related field.
  • Experience in quality control laboratory environment with knowledge of cGMP GLP and quality management systems advantageous
  • Experience with microbiological testing methods and aseptic techniques
  • Ability to follow SOPs and maintain detailed documentation per GDP requirements
  • Strong computer skills including LIMS Microsoft Office and analytical software
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Flexible scheduling may be required
  • Physical ability to perform laboratory work including PPE usage
