Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Custodial Worker. - Jupiter FL.

The Custodial Worker is responsible for maintaining clean safe and welcoming environments across assigned areas. This position performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties using proper methods equipment and safety procedures to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and functionality.

Summary of responsibilities:

• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms and/or assigned work areas by utilizing proper cleaning methods. May include but not limited to sweeping dusting mopping waxing and vacuuming. Replenishes supplies as necessary.

• Cleans kitchens lounges hallways stairwells offices conference rooms and other public areas as assigned by using proper cleaning methods.

• Removes trash/garbage and recycle items. Cleans receptacles and janitorial closets as necessary.

• Cleans (dusts and/or washes) furnishings light fixtures and/or air conditioning vents using proper cleaning methods or equipment.

• Washes windows and/or sweeps stairwells.

• Reports building damages or problems to supervisor.

• Performs job-related special projects. May include moving furniture or furnishings room set up including linen or changing linen and minor maintenance as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

A high school diploma or completion of 9th grade with one year of appropriate experience required.

Salary:

$16.71 hourly.
