Warehouse Specialist

Kalman & Company Inc. is seeking a full-time Warehouse Specialist to support warehouse operations on a government client site located in Williamsburg VA. This role is responsible for inventory control material storage order fulfillment and logistics coordination. It requires an active Secret clearance. Warehouse Specialists ensure that materials are accurately received stored and distributed in support of production training and operational needs. Applicants must be able to work independently and as part of a team follow all safety and conduct rules and comply with company policies.

II. Specific Duties

• Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or electronic systems.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure proper stock rotation and storage practices to prevent material degradation.
• Receive incoming shipments verify contents and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Generate and maintain shipping and receiving documentation.
• Pick stage and deliver materials to production training or other departments.
• Coordinate with team leads and supervisors to ensure timely material availability.
• Support kitting operations by assembling and verifying kit contents.
• Apply accurate labels to materials bins and shipments.
• Ensure all materials are properly identified and traceable.
• Maintain documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
• Perform duties of Material Handling Laborers as needed including loading unloading and transporting materials.
• Support DRMO (Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office) processes by preparing excess or obsolete materials for disposal.
• Assist with FTO (For Training Only) logistics including setup and teardown of training environments.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
• Ensure warehouse operations comply with SOPs WIs and regulatory standards.
• Report safety incidents equipment malfunctions or process deviations promptly.

III. Minimum Required Education / Qualifications
Candidates MUST:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a High School diploma or GED.
• Be a U.S. Citizen.
• Hold a current Secret Security Clearance with 6-month re-verification.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint).
• Be able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to work on their feet for up to 8 hours a day in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

IV. Preferred Education / Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse logistics or inventory operations.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and labeling procedures.
• Certification or experience operating forklifts or other MHE.
• Background in government or defense-related logistics support.
