About the Role:

AFSisseekinga highly skilled and experienced Cloud PlatformEngineertojoin our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding ofCloud Native Applications&DevSecOps(DSOP) including automation cloud servicescontainer orchestration &software development. This role requiresa strong foundationin Linux engineeringwith skills incontainerization technologiesCICDandexperience working inpublic and private candidate will have a proventrack recordin automating softwaredeploymentsand implementing solutions to accelerate release responsibility revolves around empowering development teams with a robust platform that streamlines processes and enhances collaboration.

CoreResponsibilities:

Implementmaintain and support build integration & test and deployment pipelinesutilizingtools such asKubernetes GitlabArgoCDetc across hybrid cloud computing environments.

Read and understand various application programming interfaces (APIs) and implement automation asrequired.

Develop& Improveautomation for efficient deployment and management of cloud resources using tools such asTerraformAnsible.

Integrate security and compliance into the platform by implementing services such as encryption and access management to meet DISA STIGs compliance with security standards and policies across hybrid containerized environments.

Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Assistdevelopment teams with implementingcontainerized deploymentsutilizingtools such asKustomize Helm and Docker/Podman.

Account for disaster recovery scenarios implement & testbackupand recovery procedures.

Monitor the environmentfor performance metrics and alertsidentifybottlenecksand implement effective solutions.

Stay abreast oflatestDevSecOpsand Cloud Native technologies and work with stakeholders to recommendmore efficientsolutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related fieldor equivalent experiencewith a minimum of3years direct experience inaDevSecOpsrole or related experience.

Solid understanding of Linux/Unix Administration.

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies particularly Docker and Kubernetes.

Proficient in one or more computer programming languages commonly used in scripting & automation. Such as but not limited to Bash Python Go Rust

Demonstrated experience in automating cloud deployments and developing infrastructure as code (IaC).

Possess andmaintainrelevant DoD 8570/8140IAT level II Certification.

Amazing to Have:

Familiarity withopen-sourcetooling contributing toopen-sourcetools ability to find root cause and open useful issues.

Prior experience with service mesh technologies (Istio ConsulLinkerd)

Background in VMWARE vSphere and Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Proficient in applying DISA STIGs within cloud and containerized environments.

Possess one or more of the following certifications:

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
AWS DevOps Professional
GIAC Cloud Security Automation
HashiCorpCertified Terraform Associate or equivalent experience

Clearance:

An Active TS/SCI is required

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to office location role skill set and level of experience.
