Job Purpose:

To manage and handle Energy claims within the London Market Claims team. Reporting to the Chief Claims Officer the role is responsible for the day-to-day operation and control of the Energy claims function ensuring claims are processed and settled in a timely and equitable manner whilst continuously striving to improve service delivery operational efficiency and quality standards.

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise across a broad range of Energy claims maintain strong relationships with brokers and stakeholders and support the ongoing development of the claims team and wider business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of complex Energy claims within delegated authority levels.
• Produce feedback to underwriters and management withregardto the structure of their claim issues and related risk information with the goalto improvethe overall standard of underwriting in the company.
• Demonstrate that Lloyds Sun Principles are being met at all times and be in a position to assist underwriters and claims adjusters to progress.
• Ensures all claims allocated are controlled within company philosophies and SLAs
• Providing departmental reports including SLAs and metrics on a monthly / quarterly basis.
• To be present at market meetings and conference calls when necessary
• Ensure customers are treated fairly at all times.
• Ensure all complaint related issues and all such incidents are logged and concluded in accordance with company policy.
• Practices and promotes at all times Tokio Marine HCC core values to both internal and external contacts alike.
• Undertake any other ad hoc activities/project work required.

Skills and Experience Specification:

• Ideally 15 years experience managing Marine and/or Energy claims within the London Market.
• Ideally 5 years experience mentoring supervising or managing a claims team.
• Strong technical knowledge of Energy claims handling and London Market practices.
• Excellent knowledge of ECF and Lloyds Claims Schemes.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
• Experience liaising with brokers loss adjusters lawyers and outsourcing partners.
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong IT literacy and proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• ACII qualification or actively working towards completion preferred.Professional and client-focused approach.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Collaborative team player with leadership capability.
• Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
