Job Summary
The University of Tennessee Foundation Inc (UTFI) invites applications and nominations to fill the position of Content Communications Coordinator for the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Reporting to the Director of Content Communications the Content Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting and executing the Division of Advancements content strategy with a primary focus on writing storytelling content coordination and performance tracking.
This role will produce compelling materials that highlight the impact of private support and showcase the achievements of alumni donors and the university promoting alumni engagement and enhancing the universitys reputation.
Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Content Development and Storytelling: Serves as the primary writer for Advancement copywriting developing content for partner programs events fundraising campaigns awards and stewardship materials with strong audience awareness. Produces media advisories press releases feature stories and impact-driven content that highlight alumni donors and Advancement initiatives while aligning with institutional messaging and brand standards. Content supports Advancement goals by strengthening alumni engagement donor storytelling and visibility across university-wide platforms.
Content Tracking Reporting and Optimization: Tracks contentpickupacross campus and external channelsMonitors and analyzes content performance metrics and KPIssuch as engagement data andaudiencesurveyresponsesinformingfuture content planning and qualitativeaudiencesurvey development and manages story lead intake and tracking to support regular content planning and content-related projects and collaborates with internal teams to align tracking systems with project management tools ensuring efficiency transparency and consistent oversight of Advancement stories.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
The candidate who fills the Content Communications Coordinator position is required to have:
- Bachelors degree
- 1 year of experience in communications- related role with substantial writing responsibilities
A valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record is required due to travel responsibilities of the position. UTFI reserves the right to consider all appropriate general any significant driving offense less than 12 months old will eliminate the application from consideration for the position.
Preferred Education and Experience
- In addition to meeting the required qualifications the preferred candidate will have:
- Foundational skills in content performance tracking and analysis
- Project Management experience
