The SeniorFunctional Business Analyst (internally called Senior Business Systems Specialist-Projects) plays a key role in delivering student systems transformation and enhancement the analysis design and configuration of systems that support the student lifecyclehelping improve both student and staff experiences.
Working across the project lifecycleyoullcollaborate with project managers developers testers and business stakeholders to turn strategic goals into practical high-quality bring valuableexpertisein(ideally)student administration and system integration to ensure outcomes are fit-for-purpose and future-focused.
The role reports to the Manager Student Systems (Projects) and may have a direct include:
Lead business analysis and system design across a portfolio of student systems projects and enhancements
Elicit analyse and document business requirements translating them into functional specifications data models and system configurations that meet user and compliance needs
Design business processes and collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to support solution delivery and integration
Configure or support configuration of student systems ensuring changes are tested documented and aligned with requirements
Conduct gap analyses and contribute tooptionassessments business cases and impact assessments
Support delivery activities including user acceptance testing (UAT) training development and go-live readiness
Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams providing advice on system capabilities and fit-for-purpose solutions.
Maintain knowledge of relevant technologies policies and regulatory requirements and support continuous improvement and mentoring of juniorbusinessanalysts

Previousexperience as a functional Business Analyst
Experience analysing and delivering business system changes in complex organisations ideallyin the higher education sector
Understanding of student lifecycle processes and supporting systems
Proven ability to translate business needs into effective system designs and solutions
Experience with requirements gathering process mapping and clear documentation
Exposure to project delivery environments (Agile or hybrid preferred)
Demonstrated analytical thinking and a focus on continuous improvement
Experience with student systems (e.g. Technology One Callista SITS Ellucian Banner) and/or integrations reporting or data frameworkswould be ideal
Experience contributing to large-scale transformation or process improvement initiatives
This is a full-time hybrid role working Monday to Friday. The position isfull time will need to havevalidworking rights this role is not available for sponsorship.
