Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) Night Shift (7 On / 7 Off Rotation)
Location: Fort Defiance Arizona
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Schedule: 7 On / 7 Off Rotation (36 hours one week 48 hours the next)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for a high-acuity fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires strong critical care expertise adaptability and the ability to function effectively across multiple ED service areas while delivering high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department setting
• Perform triage and prioritize patients based on clinical acuity
• Rotate across Main ED Fast Track and Observation Unit
• Support COVID testing vaccination and screening operations
• Manage trauma medical and behavioral health emergencies
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and implement care plans
• Administer medications IV therapy and emergency interventions
• Assist with critical procedures including conscious sedation and stabilization
• Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary teams
• Float to other departments as needed based on operational demands
• Maintain accurate documentation using RPMS EMR system
• Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
• Deliver compassionate care in a high-pressure environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience required (preferred due to facility standards)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or Compact State)
• Current certifications required:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS or ENPC
  • TNCC
• Conscious Sedation certification (can be obtained through facility; $105 fee)
• Strong experience in high-acuity emergency care
• Ability to manage high patient volumes and critical cases
• Comfortable with floating and multi-unit responsibilities
• Excellent critical thinking communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to commit to 7-on/7-off rotating schedule including weekends and holidays
