Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg Tele (Neuroscience Unit)
Location: Maryville TN
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule

• Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (18:45 07:15)
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 16 hours (Non-billable)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Neuroscience Med/Surg Telemetry unit. This role involves providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients with neurological and complex medical conditions. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical judgment and telemetry skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies
• Administer medications using Omnicell system
• Manage patients with neurological and high-acuity conditions
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other units as required based on skillset

Patient Population / Unit Details

• Patient Ratio: 1:6 (Nights)
• Age Group: Adults & Geriatrics
• Common Diagnoses: Stroke/TIA Seizures Syncope Chest Pain CHF Sepsis Respiratory Failure Dialysis Acute Kidney Failure Encephalopathy
• Specialized Care: Peritoneal Dialysis Continuous Bladder Irrigation

Required Qualifications

• Active Tennessee RN License
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience
• Epic EMR experience (minimum 1 year required)
• Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS (Required)
• Must have prior travel experience (No first-time travelers)
